Summer
This year we are going
to Wente Scout Reservation!
WHERE: Wente is a San Francisco Bay Area Council Camp located several miles east of Willits, California.
WHAT: It has the biggest lake entirely owned by BSA in the west! The waterfront has all aquatic merit badges except motor boating, and there is a Hobie 16 catamaran for the more advanced sailors. There are numerous merit badges available and the camp has an Eagle merit badge program for older scouts. There are miles of mountain biking trails, excellent new mountain bikes to use, new horse barns, mountain man outpost with black powder shooting, tomahawk throwing etc.
WHEN: July 20 to 26 2008
HOW: $300 for the week, food included – scouts should not have more than $40 for snacks, arts & craft supplies. Scouts who need medication should notify Mr. Welch. Remember to bring your current class 1 medical form (it needs renewal every three years)
